This week or so
Took the ol’ Ranger S 1000 watt bike out for a ride today….. 🙂
It’s doing pretty well, but the derailleur is having some issues. Going to have to give that a look-over soon.
Also, would like to replace the brake pads soon. It’s been over 2 years of heavy wear, and it seems they’re about ready to be changed out.
SO
We had a great Gaura Purnima festival on the 3rd of March (2026) 🙂
Here’s a clip from it :
It was a very nice festival.
It marks year 539 in our calendar, based on the Appearance of the Golden Avatar, Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu 540 years ago.
IF you are unfamiliar, look Him up on Wikipedia or wherever….
The following day was the Anandotsav of Sri Jagannath Misra, the father of Mahaprabhu. Re-enacting the feast he put on for his village to celebrate his Son’s birth, a tremendous feast was served at our Ashram, the Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Seva Ashram in Soquel, California, USA.
Here’s some video from that day:
It was a great day as well.
Soon, by the 11th/12th, the Devotees who went to India shall return to the Ashram.
We are preparing for Rama Navani on the 27th, the Appearance of Lord Rama, and the Disappearance of Srila Bhakti Sundar Govinda Dev-Goswami, my Gurudev, on the 30th.
Busy busy !!!
Right now I have a semi-busy schedule at the Ashram.
I’m busy for 3-4 days out of each week right now.
I’m doing offerings, arati’s (worship ceremony), and putting The Lord to rest… doing some fruit offerings also.
It’s all very wonderful, and I appreciate being able to do it all. Sometimes it’s hard because of my back pain.
Correction. It’s USUALLY hard with my back pain. I get by, though, on the mercy and affection of the Devotees here, and the strength and power of my Gurudev, Gauranga, and Krishna.
